Do I need to get a mailing permit? How and when do I use one?

These are common questions. If you mail through our mailing service, you will save the cost of mailing permit fees and the stress of paperwork. A client who wishes to use their own permit may obtain one from their local post office for $150 per year.

A permit includes information such as the post office you are mailing from, the sort, and the permit number. This information is all compiled to create an indicia, which can be printed on the upper right-hand corner of the mailing panel. Mailing permits are valid for one year.

Depending on the sorting, bar coding, and type of mailing you do, you may need to present payment to your post office prior to mailing your newsletter.
